For our last College Group meeting (May 2nd) we are going to have a movie night instead of our normal meeting, and we will meet at 6pm. Invite friends, or just come yourself - should be a great time!

Free Hot Dogs!!!

Hello Higherland,

This upcoming sunday (oct. 18th) there will be free Hot Dogs served around 1:30 or 2pm by the dorms. If you can't see it at first then follow your nose or wander around the dorms and sure enough you will find College Pastor Andy grilling a hot dog for ya!

Tell your friends about it and that we will be out there at around 2pm. Grab a hot dog and stay and chat for a while. Either way it'll be a win win for everyone. See ya there.

Newcomers

Hello Higherland,

Just thought I'd put up an informal post to just give a preview/explanation to people that haven't attended Higherland or only have once or twice.

The Higherland College Group is really just a simple 'come-as-you-are' get together for College age people in Highland. No one is gonna single you out unless you volunteer yourself for a game; which you should be afraid of nerf darts and whip cream hitting your face and not embarrasment. Higherland is a safe place to meet Christians that are real and not plastic people that will judge you.

So you aren't completely shocked when you come for your first time I'll let you know the basic order of the night:
7:30-9pm
1st: Start with a late dinner for a half hour
2nd: Welcoming and News
3rd: An extremely fun group game/activity
4th: A time of worship (Usually 2 songs lead by Worship Pastor Nathan Irby)
5th: A short enough biblical lesson
6th: Hang out time

Hope this was enough research for any prospecting college students in coming or just an explanation/summary for current attenders.
